No, I'm not going to call these "Rim Jobs" so quit asking!

If you're a fan of TFL, you know we ride our boards tough and tend to break the hell out of em'!  Well after countless shattered rims, we finally decided to do something about it. Life Savers rim guards are poured from the same material as our Kush line of footpads, so you know they can take a hit and bounce back.  They take a beating so your hub doesn't have to. $29 for protection, or $550 for replacement, the choice is yours.  TFL LifeSavers give your rim (and your wallet) a fighting chance. Don't settle for low quality 3d printed knockoffs, get the original and best Onewheel™ rim protection right here.

Life savers for my ADV

They were a little tough to install but once on, they are great protection for my floatwheel.

Old ones were great, new ones are a nightmare

I've installed about 2 dozen pairs of the OG rim savers, but lately the design and durometer has changed. The old guards were softer and more squared, which made them relatively easy to install, but more likely to catch an edge or dislodge from the rim due to the softness (though relatively rare and has never happened in my circle)

The new guards are filleted at the outer edge, but are extremely frustrating to install for even a seasoned tech. In theory, they will be much harder to dislodge- but the install is off-putting for the average rider. The change is not noted anywhere in the product page.

TLDR: annoyed for the quiet change out. Good for aggressive street/trick riders, and rocky trail riders that can put up with the install. Bad for everyone else.

Good but too difficult to install

I melted my last set, I got them on the 4/20 sale and kind of pissed at how much harder the new ones are to install, and my efforts to heat them caused one to melt. Contacted support about it but no response for weeks. So do I need them? Yes. Are they too expensive? Yes. Are the too difficult to install? Yes. Customer support? Fail. My fault? Yeah probably but I'm still annoyed and hate to spend $30 on another set.
