T.A.C. Level 2 Pads

I wouldn't ride without my Tac jacket. I also would never ride without having level 2 pads! These pads fit a lot easier and give you enough space for arm movement. I upgraded all my Tac jackets and hoodies to level 2 and its given easier peace of mind and no worry when you inevitably fall down. It's an awesome investment for your other investment. Shout out Float Team! You did it again!

A++ Must Buy

I decided to add these Level 2 pads to an order I was making on a bit of a whim. I like the idea of the T.A.C. sweatshirt I got a couple of months ago, but I was not thrilled with the original stiff foam pads that came with it. The elbow pads were fine, but the shoulders were bulky and the back pad was downright uncomfortable. I took the back pad out immediately, and I usually removed the shoulders as well.

I think these Level 2 pads really solve the issues - it’s just frustrating you have to pay extra for them. They are extremely flexible and better molded. Thankfully, I can’t speak to how well they may protect during an impact vs. the original pads, but they are certainly more comfortable. They are not, however, thinner than the originals - just more form-fitting. I do not see the decrease in bulk in the shoulders that’s depicted in the pictures (still look like small football pads). The back pad is still a little uncomfortable, but the flexibility is way better than the original. Ultimately, some bulk is to be expected if you want the protection. I’d easily give these 5 stars from from a design and execution standpoint. I deducted one star because I’m not too happy that I had to pay so much extra for them on top of the T.A.C. Sweatshirt. These pads are really what should have been included with T.A.C. gear from the get-go.
