These are sort of useful. Mine broke after one use, but they ARE $2.50 and plastic. I would pay more for some metal or ceramic ones tbh. I would even pay $150 for some titanium ones lol. Also I was installing a mid compound tire so that could possibly add additional strain to the levers as opposed to a soft compound tire. I still got the tire installed but I ended up using other tools I had laying around. They broke at the thinnest point, since it is obviously the weakest point. The design works, it’s just the material probably isn’t the best to handle torque situations such as changing a tire. It was my first time changing a tire so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but there was definitely a certain amount of force required to get the lip over the hub, so again maybe a different material would be good for higher compound tires.

Hey Luis, thanks for the feedback! The reason we don't make them out of metal or ceramic is because we want the tool to fail before the hub gets damaged. If the proper technique is used the tire levers will not break. If the wrong technique is used and you try to muscle it off with a metal lever you damage the hub which is a very costly mistake. Surprisingly sturdy

I break the nylon levers every now and then (I change tires maybe 3 times a year or so), but these are actually pretty strong, work well, and seem like they’ll last a while. Worth it.
