Product Description

The Pioneer and the Enduro had a lovechild and it identifies as a ThunderCat. At a 6.75 width, this tire has a bit more carve than the Pioneer and holds traction significantly better than the Enduro. The tread depth is deeper than Enduro, but shallower than Pioneer however we spaced the treads extra wide at the shoulder to maximize grip through heavy turns. Speaking of tread, this custom tread design is ridiculously sick! Cat claws + lightning bolts create the base tread and a combination of siping + stippling patterns sprinked on top make "wheelslip notifications" a thing of the past. Oh, and peep that sidewall design and let the 80's nostalgia flow through your soul.

Tread and sidewall designed by KASH Harrison

Compound Choice:
Soft compound will feel smoother, forgiving, and more buttery underfoot. However, due to it being a soft compound it will not last as long and tends to wear out quicker.

Mid compound will increase the longevity of the tire, extending the period of time between tire changes. However, it will not be as forgiving underfoot and will have a more noticeable "edge" when carving.

GT/GT-S Series Compatible = Fits 6.5" Hubs Only. Does NOT fit Rally Edition with 6" hub

BTG | 6" Hub Compatible is for "Big Tire Gang" = Will only work with Extended Rails. Does NOT fit a 6.5" Hub

XR Growler = Will only work on a 6" Hub with our shortened "Growler" rails installed on an XR board.  *First production run of this tire have a double printed Float logo error*

BTG Thundercat Soft saved my life

I had to out-run a dog chasing me on some dirt roads and I was going over 30 mph for a mile. This tire basically saved my life. Thank you TFL <3

Thundercat Growler Great Choice for ADV

Love my Floatwheel ADV, but stock Forza tire was crap. Too big (constantly catching debris and grounding sand between tire and fender mounts). Too flat - hard to turn and carve at speed). Too cheap - (the tire began overinflating like a warped balloon at 1,500 miles, found reinforcing threads pulled away from rubber and loose rubber crumbs inside when replacing). Thundercat is huge improvement in design and performance. It is about 1/4" smaller in radius, and has a rounder profile, giving much better fender clearance and carving performance. Adjusted ADV lift up one notch to compensate for smaller tire and ride height seems identical. Handling is considerably more dynamic than flat profile Forza. Tread pattern has outstanding wet and off-road traction on center and edges, and there are no continuous channelsthat run straight around the tire like most other treaded tires that catch and pull on gratings and other linear features that one might encounter on bridges and storm drains. It has restored my offroad riding confidence on wet grassy sideslopes by demonstrating outstanding traction where the Forza struggled and sometimes dumped me. Am 240 lb running at 15psi. Shorter sidewall gives a bit firmer ride feel than the Forza on bumps, but much easier to turn at speed. Has the increased rumble of a treaded tire over a slick, but this tire makes you want to stray off the path. Great option for 6" rims.

A huge upgrade to BTG tires

I love the extra carve ability compared to the Burris!
