Product Description

Remember how big of a difference it was going from a 6" XR hub to a 6.5" GT hub? Well double that feeling, but in the other (actually good) direction and you'll start to get an idea of how amazing the MTE 5" hub rides.

For Antic Bike Riders:

Out of the box the Antic Bike comes with 6.5" wheels, which are uncomfortable due to the small tire sidewall that leaves little room to compress and act as suspension. To improve this, the MTE 5" hub decreases the size of the wheel to 5" which gives your tires an extra 1.5" of sidewall and is much more comfortable. Additionally, you get extra low-end torque from the stronger N52 magnets and better tire options than the 6.5" wheel.

*Note: As a tradeoff for higher torque, the N52 magnets typically decrease the top speed by a few MPH.

OUR FAVORITE COMPATIBLE TIRES:

TFL 5" Pioneer (best off-road tire period)

TFL 555 Street Pro 2 (a more nimble 11x5.5-5 size)

TFL 655 Enduro (a more stable 11x6.5-5 size)

TFL 555 Enduro (a more nimble 11x.5.5-5 size)

WE DON'T RECOMMEND STATORADE/FERRO FLUID IN YOUR HUB. WE WILL NOT REPLACE YOUR HUB IF IT BREAKS FROM STATORADE/FERRO FLUID USE.
